From 2011 to 2015, Mr. Ortiz was appointed by the Washington State Department of Commerce to serve as a foreclosure mediator, a role that provided him with unique insight into resolving complex homeowner disputes. While at the Northwest Consumer Law Center, Mr. Ortiz represented clients in a broad range of consumer matters, including disputes involving auto purchases, residential foreclosures, and landlord-tenant issues.
Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Ortiz worked in construction project control on the Texas gulf coast. His hands-on experience with estimating, scheduling, and progress reporting for large industrial projects gives him a distinct and practical perspective in cases involving construction defects, workplace injuries, and property-related claims. This background allows him to provide clients with a comprehensive and pragmatic approach to their legal challenges
